Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) Update
July 1, 2020
Section 18004 of the federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES) Act establishes the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF). This is an emergency funding to institutions of higher education that contains funds that must go directly to students in the form of emergency financial aid grants for expenses related to the disruption of campus operations due to the coronavirus, including eligible expenses under a student's cost of attendance, such as food, housing, course materials, technology, health care, and child-care.
Ohio Medical Career College (OMCC) provides the following information as required by the US Department of Education in order to comply with the reporting requirements under the CARES Act. This is OMCC's second 45-day progress report and presents information as of September 30, 2020. Additional reports will be provided every 45 days.

In accordance with the guidance issued by Governor Mike DeWine, Ohio Department of Health, and the Ohio State Board of Career Colleges and Schools, OMCC is transitioning the majority of onsite classroom or laboratory teaching to distance learning. The only continuing face-to-face instructional activity on campus will be individual meetings with students or small group instruction where students and teachers are able to maintain acceptable social distancing protocols.
